Minho Kim

Biography

Minho Kim is a PhD student in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. His background is in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus on remote sensing and GeoAI. Current research interests include modeling wildfires and compound hazards to better understand the risk posed on our urban-rural environment, infrastructure, and natural landscapes. His current research includes using fire simulation models and machine learning to understand wildfire behavior, developing a network-based simulator to support fire suppression decision-making, and using high resolution remote sensing images and GIS data to assess wildfire risk in the wildland urban interface.
