Biography
My name is Albert Cao and I’m a PhD student in Transportation Engineering with a background in statistics. I’m interested in applying network science, ML/optimization, and statistical methods to study and characterize complex systems, especially the air transportation network. Two main projects I am currently working on are 1) Developing a Bayesian inference process for home change detection using Location Based Service (LBS) data 2) Large-scale simulation-based optimization for vertiport placements in the Bay Area for Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
